A stable is connected to the restaurant - you can visit the cows before entering the building. At breakfast, we could view them from windows directly from inside the restaurant and could watch them being milked. The cows were quite friendly!
There are three guesthouse buildings just across the street from the restaurant/farm. We loved the loghouse look both inside and out. Our rooms had double beds with the cutest wool blankets. We had a small sitting area inside our room and a little porch outside.
The first night we made reservations to eat at the restaurant. I had the roasted lamb shank dinner which was my favorite meal of the trip. The meat was fall off the bone tender and was accompanied by the most delicious savory gravy, potatoes, and salad. We also shared one of their traditional cakes for dessert.
The breakfast both mornings was exceptional. It included wonderful homemade breads and warm milk shots fresh from the cow! The cheeses were made from the milk from the farm.
In the morning before we left, we watched the cows being lead out to the pasture.
