Little Laceys and a New Year's Giveaway!

I have enjoyed having two weeks off for Christmas vacation and having time to use my clever energy for something else besides lesson plans! It has been nice to be able to leave a few posts.

I went on a jewelry creating binge last week to make some Christmas gifts. I spent an entire afternoon making a bunch of these little lacey soldered tags. (And I have the burn on my finger after slip of the soldering iron to prove it!)

(Forgive the blurry shot)

I still have one or two left over that I didn't gift, so I thought I would have a little giveaway as a thank you for all the faithful readers who have kept checking back here over the past few months when there hasn't been very many new things to see! Just leave a comment below. Not sure when I will have a chance to pick a winner - probably on Sunday afternoon. Good luck!

Karen I found your blog by googling beaded jewely (my new hobby) I am so amazed by all your interests and they have inspired me. I shared your blog site with my sister who could use a little cheering up. There is something that I connect with and I know that my sister will also when I look through all of your pictures and gardening and cooking and crafts. I bought one of the beading books that you highlighted and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Thank you again for taking your thoughts and ideas and illustrating them for others to share. Hey Jeanna, thank you for your kind comments! I'm so glad you have enjoyed the blog. I haven't been able to post as much as I would like this year, but I do have some more jewelry ready to share, hopefully in the next few weeks!
